Founded in 2000 by former Walt Disney Studios executive and production veteran Eric Young, Sparkhill has emerged as a leading producer of original programming for major motion picture studios and distributors.  Sparkhill distinguishes itself with its team of artists and professionals from across the media industry spectrum, including producers, writers and editors with expertise in motion pictures, television, theatre and advertising.

Sparkhill has created documentaries, interactive features and audio commentaries for more than 350 DVDs to date, including many best-selling and award-winning productions, such as Fantastic Four, The Searchers, The Shield, Deadwood, 24, The Wizard of Oz (Special Edition), King Kong (1933), Xmen: The Last Stand, Astaire & Rogers, Office Space (Special Edition), Leonard Maltin’s Disney Treasures Series, The Harold Lloyd Collection, Neil Young: Heart of Gold, An Inconvenient Truth, World Trade Center and Ghost Rider, as well as the upcoming Stardust and Die Hard 4.

In 2003 Sparkhill diversified its corporate banner to create the concert DVD Right Now, Live with jazz artist Charlie Hunter, and the original feature-length documentary, Ellenshaw Under Glass, the life story of matte painter and Disney Studios artist Peter Ellenshaw.  In addition, Sparkhill recently released the double-disc, special edition DVD, Ray Harryhausen, The Early Years Collection which showcases the formative work of the legendary visual effects master.

The company continues to embrace new technologies and has expanded its capabilities to include high-definition video production and groundbreaking wireless content with “mobisodes” of 24: Conspiracy, Prison Break: Proof of Innocence, Vanished: Sacrifice and Bones: Skeleton Crew, all based on Twentieth Century Fox hit shows.
